Parents/carers are expected to:

• Make sure their child attends every day on time
• Call the school on 01274 584093, or by emailing absence@saltaireps.co.uk, to report their child’s absence before 9:10am on the day of the absence (and each subsequent day of absence), and advise when they are expected to return
• Keep children off school for 48 hours after symptoms stop in the case of vomiting or diarrhoea
• Discuss planned absences with the school in advance (e.g. family holidays, special occasions) and complete the appropriate holiday request form at least 2 weeks before absence.
• Provide the school with more than 1 emergency contact number for their child
• Ensure that, where possible, appointments for their child are made outside of the school day
• Keep to any attendance/parental contracts that they make with the school and/or local authority
• Seek support, where necessary, for maintaining good attendance, by contacting Siobhan Winter, Family Support Worker, who can be contacted via 01274 584093 or office@saltaireps.co.uk
