Welcome to Saltaire Primary School

On behalf of our children, staff and governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to Saltaire Primary School.  I hope you will find everything you need here, including upcoming events and up to date information.

We are so proud to be an inclusive, ambitious and nurturing community.  Everyone at Saltaire Primary School lives by our vision and values, keeping our children at the heart of all we do.  During their seven year journey with us, every child learns to understand the value of Respect, Responsibility and Reflection so that with expert teaching, guidance and support, they can Enjoy, Achieve and Thrive.

Saltaire Primary School sits proudly in the local community with its rich heritage and as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  There are many ways our school is a special and unique place in which to provide our children with the very best possible education, including:

  • Our rich, broad and engaging curriculum.  Our offer has been engineered with care and ambition so that our children can look forward to their future as active citizens.

  • "We are Crew not Passengers".  Our commitment to character education can be seen in daily circle-time Crew sessions in which children work together to think about what they can achieve and who they can become.

  • We are a Voice 21 Oracy Centre of Excellence.  Our children become confident and agile communicators and thinkers.

  • We go Above and Beyond.  Our enrichment offer is an entitlement for every child to reach beyond the curriculum and to discover their passions and interests.

It is a privilege to lead Saltaire Primary School.  Together, we are building something truly exceptional. Our community of families, our committed team of staff and governors and most importantly, our kind, creative and vibrant children,  ensure that everyone feels that they belong and that their voice is valued and heard.  Everyone who visits our school will always receive a heartfelt warm welcome.

This is how we do it here.
