Our Clubs
- Rise & Shine (Before School): Open daily from 7:30 am – 8:50 am. Children start their day with a selection of healthy breakfast options.
- Horizons (After School): Open daily from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm, providing a nutritious light meal for all attendees.
Based in our dedicated space in the smaller school building, children enjoy a mix of indoor activities and outdoor play. Our "rain or shine" policy ensures children get plenty of fresh air in the playground every day after eating.

- Payment Options: We accept credit/debit cards, Government Tax-Free Childcare (TFC), and various Childcare Voucher (CCV) providers. If using TFC, you can set up an automated payment plan directly within the portal.
Fees & Subsidies
- Rise & Shine: £7.00 per session.
- Horizons: £14.00 per session.
- Financial Support: Sessions are provided free of charge for children entitled to means-tested Free School Meals (FSM).
Please note that Horizons Club will be closed on the final Friday of each half-term for staff training. You will not be charged for these dates:
- 24 Oct 2025 | 19 Dec 2025 | 13 Feb 2026 | 27 Mar 2026 | 22 May 2026 | 17 July 2026 (Note: Horizons will remain open on the final day of the summer term, Monday 20th July 2026).

Absence: Please note that fees for Rise & Shine and Horizons Club remain payable even if your child is absent from school. For safeguarding purposes, it is essential that you notify the school office directly if your child will not be attending their scheduled session
Additional Sessions: Need an extra hand with childcare? You can easily book ad-hoc sessions through Magic Booking. Our clubs are very busy, so we aren't able to offer last-minute drop-ins—all bookings must be made ahead of time. Ad-hoc sessions are charged at just £1.00 extra per child. To avoid disappointment, we recommend checking Magic Booking as early as possible, as the system will show you immediately if we have the capacity to accommodate your child.
Charges after 6pm: Children not collected by 6pm will incur additional costs of £1.00 per minute and this will invoiced to the parent and payable immediately.
Notice Period: You may cancel your sessions via Magic Booking if they are no longer required but we ask for a minimum of 1 weeks notice.
Drop off and Collection: To help us maintain the highest safeguarding standards, please ensure your child is dropped off safely at the door and that you ring the doorbell to alert a member of staff. At the end of the day, please remember that Horizons Club closes at 6:00 pm; we appreciate your cooperation in collecting your child on time.

Working in partnership with Hirst Wood Nursery School
Parents of younger children at Saltaire Primary School (Reception to Year 3) also have the option to send their children to The Sunshine Club at Hirst Wood Nursery School. You can find further information about this here.
We mirror the timings and offering of Hirst Wood so it is up to you which option you prefer.
Children who go to The Sunshine Club are taken to and collected from their classes each day.
